May 26--Columbia police Chief Randy Boehm responded to complaints and recommendations for changes at an NAACP board meeting convened last night to address complaints about policing in central Columbia.
Mary Ratliff, president of the local and state chapters of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said this morning that a number of residents have complained to the NAACP about police action in the First Ward and a lack of police response in dealing with those complaints.
