The state of Hawaii is doing everything possible to ensure the insurance industry here is sound and healthy, despite reports of problems in the industry on the Mainland, according to state insurance commissioner Robin K. Campaniano.
National news magazines and daily newspapers on the Mainland generally have pictured the insurance industry as severely troubled. Such reports have exacerbated the problem of a few Mainland insurance companies, he said.
