New Orleans utility Entergy Corp. and privately held Wichita Falls, Kan., conglomerate Koch Industries Inc. said Tuesday, June 8, they may sell their successful energy trading joint venture, Houston-based Entergy-Koch LP.
Entergy and Koch said in a joint statement they have discussed the sale of their American and British energy trading businesses with various third parties, which they didn't name. If they do reach a sale, they said they would consider selling a related business, the 8,000-mile Gulf South Pipeline Co. LP. If they cannot find a buyer, the owners may consider maintaining the existing structure or inviting one or more new partners to invest in the company.
