Jun. 7--I-Phone, a Samart Corp subsidiary that has the right to provide short messaging services on the fixed-line phones of TOT Corporation, expects its SMS traffic to pick up by 10-20 percent after it enters a roaming agreement with Advanced Info Service.
Currently, the company is sending 1,000 to 2,000 short messages daily on TOT's fixed-line network.
The I-Phone telephone, which features caller identification and the capability to send and receive short text messages and other information on fixed-lined numbers, costs 1,600 baht and has a monthly service fee of 50 baht as well as a three-baht charge for each SMS. ...
