Jun. 7--Alternative fuels tend to regain the spotlight whenever oil demand outstrips supply, leading to a spike in oil prices. Given recent developments, the Royal Thai Navy now has a good opportunity to revive its innovative bio-fuel projects.
Over the past few years, the Navy has been working on a project to develop clean and renewable energy to replace fossil fuels despite only lukewarm support from the government, which tends to shelve alternative energy projects so long as oil prices stay at acceptable rates and supply meets demand.
