STC Foodpak Sees Good Market for Ready-to-Eat Meals in Thailand.

Jun. 7--Sales of frozen ready-to-eat meals in the Thai market have shown impressive growth year after year, with revenue expected to double this year to 500 million baht in a frozen food segment worth 1.2 billion baht annually.

According to Puchchong Vanichjakvong, assistant managing director of STC Foodpak Limited, the market potential for ready-to-eat meals is high, with sales volume already at about 650,000 boxes a month.

Mr Puchchong said that although competition in this niche market was intense, the company remained optimistic that there was still plenty of room for new players.
