Jun. 5--Kasikornbank has agreed to lend 1.15 billion baht to the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) under a syndicated loan worth 4.1 billion baht to refinance foreign debt owed by the water utility.
Other banks in the syndicate are Citibank, Sumitomo Bank and Mizuho Bank.
The five-year loan would be swapped for foreign currency to repay loans owed by the MWA to the Japan Bank for International Co-operation (JBIC).
