Jun. 5--Asian Insulator Plc has formed a joint venture with Austria-based PPC Insulators Holding Gmbh to develop an export-oriented insulator plant with a target to more than double its annual revenue to two billion baht within three years.
AI chairman Narong Thareratanavibool said an initial investment of 450 million baht would be used to expand the existing factory in Sing Buri which currently has a yearly capacity of 7,500 tonnes of electrical insulators. After its completion, the expansion will help boost AI's revenue from this year's target of 750 million baht to 1.2 billion baht next year, of which about half would come from exports.
