Jun. 4--Thai tuna exports face increasing pressure in the coming months following a drop in the first quarter of the year due to unsteady supplies and consumer resistance to high prices for the fish, according to Dr Chanintr Chalisarapong, chairman of the Thai Tuna Packers' Group.
"We expect that prospects for the industry are unlikely to improve in the second quarter," he said at the eighth World Tuna Trade Conference, which opened in Bangkok yesterday.
