Jun. 2--Shineedotcom Co, the content provider portal division of Shin Corporation, is stepping into the highly competitive information application market, aiming to increase its revenue by 20-25 percent this year to almost 100 million baht.

The company bases its optimism on the increasing popularity of mobile content applications, to which it added mobile news services yesterday.

Shineedotcom has teamed up with Shin cellular flagship Advanced Information Service (AIS) and eight Thai, English and Japanese newspapers to provide the Ocean News service to WAP or GPRS-enabled mobile phones.
