Our April 19/April 26 story comparing the Iraq war with Vietnam struck a nerve with readers. Said one, "Both were a bad idea." Another wrote, "Terrorism stopped once we got out; communists didn't take over the world." Some compared this conflict to others: the Soviets in Kabul, Israel in Lebanon.
