TAIPEI, June 1 Asia Pulse - President Chen Shui-bian assured foreign investors Monday that his administration will implement reform programs in the coming four years at a faster pace than in previous years.

Speaking at a tea party he hosted for representatives of foreign investors at the Presidential Office, Chen reiterated his determination to carry out reforms and strive for the improvement of the country's economy and cross-Taiwan Strait relations.

According to some of those present at the party, Chen told the 14 heads of foreign investment firms that cross-strait ties, financial reforms and domestic political stability will be the focus of his administration in the coming four years.

He also listened carefully to suggestions presented by the investors and sincerely fielded questions posed by them during the party, according to John ...
