Jun. 1--Nestle (Thai) Ltd, the local unit of the Swiss-based food products giant, has expanded its product line to include a premium instant coffee in a bid to boost sales this year.

Nescafe Gold appeared on store shelves for the first time last month.

Thailand's premium instant coffee market -- estimated to be worth about 200 million baht annually -- is dominated by three brands, including Nestle, Taster's Choice and Moccona.

Nescafe Gold, priced at triple the cost of its standard instant coffee, was introduced to meet the demand of consumers who wanted to try something different, said Altug Guven, ...
