Jun. 1--The government has further expanded the distribution network for its low-cost ICT Computer project, tapping into the combined 2,700-plus outlets of 7-Eleven, Power Buy and Orange and True telecom shops.
Starting from today, consumers will be able to purchase the desktop PCs at 54 branches of Power Buy or fill out order forms at 2,547 branches of 7-Eleven and the 120-plus outlets of True and Orange -- without having to trade their old computers for new ones.
The new desktop PC is powered by a Pentium 4 processor running at 2.4 GHz with 256 MB of RAM, a 40GB hard disk and 17-inch monitor, priced at 15,490 ...
