Jun. 1--True Corporation yesterday rebutted claims by TOT Corporation that the communications system for Bangkok's new subway had been installed in violation of laws governing the provision of telecoms services.
Athueck Asvanont, a company vice-president, said that while True had already completed the installation of a cabling system inside the tunnels to link all 18 subway stations, it had stopped short of connecting it to True's 2.6-million-user, fixed-line network.
The cabling system, which cost True 100 million baht, was installed as part of its 40 percent joint venture with Bangkok Metro Co Ltd (BMCL).
