Bayer, BASF and the Aventis Hoechst unit will sell their joint-venture textile-dye firm DyStar to Platinum Equity. The firms didn't disclose financial terms, but HVB Bank put the figure at $687.5 mil. Bayer and Aventis had 35% stakes, and BASF owned 30%. The deal still needs regulatory approval.
