Dr. Reddy's profit tumbles 74%

The Indian drug maker made $3.5 mil, down from $13.7 mil in the year-ago quarter despite sales rising 12% to $105 mil. Views had seen $13 mil profit. Dr. Reddy's cited the end of an exclusive right to make a generic version of Eli Lilly's Prozac, plus costs in a losing case against Pfizer. Shares fell 5% to 18.52.

** Curative Health Services warned a proposed change in California's Medicaid program would reduce reimbursement payments for its blood clotting therapies. Shares fell 16% to 10.52.
