Litig has been researching the issues surrounding e-mail use within the legal industry. E-mail is increasingly becoming the de-facto tool for communication and the risks associated with its use are huge. As a result, Litig has created two documents available for use by any firm:
* E-mail--Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP);
* E-mail--User Good Practice.
The Litig team working on this project comprises Director of Business Support Information Technology (IT) & Finance at Shoosmiths, Rosemary Kind, and Bond Pearce's IT Director David Coates. Part of Litig's brief involves it looking into a number of areas, which will be strategically important to the legal IT market. Litig has identified e-mail as one of these areas.
