2004 JUN 3 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Scientists review vaccines against cervical cancer in a recent issue of Hospital Medicine.

According to recent research from Wales, "The link between human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer raises the question, can the burden of cervical cancer be reduced using HPV vaccination strategies?

"The clinical trials to date will be reviewed, along with the challenges and potential for future development," said Amanda Tristram and Alison Fiander at the University of Wales.

Tristram and Fiander published their study in Hospital Medicine (Vaccination against cervical cancer. Hosp Med, 2004;65(3):160-163).
