A mothballed North Charleston truck stop, including a budget motel and a new service-station that has never pumped a drop of fuel, could be sold to the highest bidder next month.

Chicago-based NCR Realty Advisors started soliciting sealed offers last week for the ground lease to the Charleston Travel Plaza, which encompasses three buildings on Aviation Avenue near Interstate 26.

All bids, including a 2.5 percent deposit, are due June 22.
