Civil Liberties: A new film called "A Day Without a Mexican" is supposed to make us think. We think someone ought to do a sequel: "A Day Without The ACLU."

We thought of this as we gazed upon a photo of a teenager with pants nearly two-thirds down his buttocks and read about the controversy surrounding a ban on such fashion proposed in the state of Louisiana .

"In our society," said Democratic state Rep. Derrick Shepherd, "we have a line of decency that should not be crossed."

That line, according to his bill, is when someone publicly and "intentionally expose(s) any portion of the pubic hair, cleft of the buttocks or genitals."
