Antonia C. Novello, M.D., Surgeon General of the United States, has agreed to serve as honorary chairperson of the sixth annual Alcohol Awareness Month in April, 1992, an informal coalition or private organizations and grassroots groups led by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) announced.

"Alcohol Awareness Month offers an umbrella for a large number of organizations with different missions to work together," Novello said.
