The fallout from the downfall of 3mv has spread to Brussels, with Play It Again Sam Group co-chairman Michel Lambot "investigating his legal options" as the distributor's bosses plan their next move.
As indies continue to grapple with the surprise liquidation of their distributor earlier this month, Lambot--a non-executive director of the south London company-says he has still not been officially informed about the collapse of the distributor by the directors. As non-executive director, his position held certain responsibilities to shareholders and creditors, while Lambot also believes he is entitled to some "rights" of information. Lambot says he is disappointed to have had no direct contact with 3mv chiefs Dave Trafford or Max Kenny.
Lambot says he retained his non-executive status in 3mv after Pias sold hack its majority stake in the group to the management in March 2002, leaving Pias with a nominal 1% stake.
