The Shakespeare authorship question was mentioned in the New York Times book review (September 2, 2003) of Brian Vickers' Shakespeare, Co-Author, a book that "has brought clarity" to the long debated "co-authorship" question of Shakespeare's plays. Vickers examined research of the past 100 years that gave evidence of a coauthor in five Shakespeare plays, concluding that: George Peele wrote one-third of Titus Andronicus; Thomas Middleton wrote two-fifths of Timon of Athens; George Wilkens wrote two of five acts of Pericles; John Fletcher wrote over half of Henry VIII and three-fifths of The Two Noble Kinsmen.
