YALA (Southern Thailand), Fri. - Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra continued his tour of the kingdom's troubled southern provinces today, attempting to woo Muslims and stem the four-month state of violence which has seen nearly 200 people killed.
Thaksin, who has made numerous visits to the southern provinces since trouble began, started his second day of his current visit with a pre-dawn hour-long visit helping rural Muslims tap rubber in the Krung Krung Pinang district before meeting security officials at outposts nearby.
