Vaccines cut hepatitis B cases
The Centers for Disease Control said hepatitis B infections dived 67% from 1990-2002. Infections fell 89% among those under 20, due to childhood shots. But adult infections of the liver-attacking virus are still rising. Since 1999, cases have risen by 5% among men ages 20-39 and by 20% and 31%, respectively, for men and women 40 or older.
