Break out the teeth-whitening products. You could be smiling for a lot of digital photos this holiday season.
Digital imaging products, including digital cameras, photo printers and cell phones with built-in cameras, are perhaps the hottest category of consumer electronics gear this Christmas, analysts say.
Other hot categories include supercheap digital video disc players, low-cost video game consoles and high-definition television sets.
Cell phone sales are expected to get a boost from the recent rule change that lets people switch service providers while keeping their phone number.
Other categories are expected do well with early adopters this year, if not mainstream shoppers. Those include DVD recorders and flat panel televisions.
But digital cameras and related products are what's really hot this holiday season.
