According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the First Hungarian Conference of Neuropathology and the 6th Hungarian-Polish Neuropathological Symposium, held in Budapest, Hungary, "The neuropathologic findings in the spinal cord were reviewed in 138 consecutive autopsies of patients with AIDS. In all cases both the brain and spinal cord were examined by conventional histologic techniques and in 63 cases immunocytochemistry was used to detect HIV, …
