Sharrocks snares top Aegis UK post.(Nigel Sharrocks)

Nigel Sharrocks, the former managing director of Grey Advertising, is replacing Mark Craze as the chief executive of Aegis Media UK & Ireland.

Sharrocks, 47, is currently the managing director of Warner Brothers Pictures. His appointment comes a week after Aegis announced that Craze would be leaving after 15 years with the company.

Sharrocks assumes responsibility for Carat, Vizeum and Posterscope in the UK and Ireland and will report to the chief executive of Aegis Media EMEA, Jerry Buhlmann.

Craze was passed over for this job when it became vacant following the resignation of Eryck Rebbouh and Bruno Kemoun, who clashed with the Aegis plc chief …
