South Central Division.(MTNA Division News)(Music Teachers National Association)
Three of the four states in our division will have state conferences during the month of June. The Arkansas MTA will host its conference June 4-5, 2004, on the campus of Hendrix College in Conway. The featured clinician is Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield, NCTM, and the guest artist is pianist Cai Lei. State members also will give sessions. On hand to enjoy the programs will be MTNA Executive Director Gary Ingle.
The Oklahoma MTA will celebrate its seventy-fifth birthday and its fiftieth anniversary as an MTNA member organization June 3-5 at the Adams Mark Hotel in Tulsa. MTNA President Phyllis Pieffer, NCTM, will be there to join in the celebration. The guest artist is pianist Christopher O'Riley, host of NPR's From the Top.
