The Maserati Quattroporte will be a unique and capable contender in the luxury flagship market, but in America, concerns over Italian build quality and serviceability may keep the car from glory.

The Quattroporte is a worthy rival for other luxury flagships, but the small number of dealerships, uncertain quality and poor resale value will not make it successful in America.

Bill Wells, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

The Quattroporte will sell well to Americans looking for a $90,000 four-door Ferrari. However, it will take further evaluation for it to influence BMW and Audi owners. Style and design are one thing, reliability is another.

Robert Hinson, Gulfport, Miss.

The Quattroporte is an all-around attractive package. But in the United States, its higher price and Italian breeding are likely to chase potential buyers elsewhere.

Stephen Zlato, Johnstown, Pa.
