The Champ Car World Series field got closer to its magic number of 18 entries when Eric Bachelart's Con-quest/Mijack Racing team confirmed two entries and Forsythe Racing decided to make room for veteran Patrick Carpentier (above).
Bachelart will field Brazilian Alex Sperafico, 30, and former F1 driver Justin Wilson, 25, ensuring Champ Car will retain at least one British driver in its field.
Wilson was introduced to Bachelart by way of his team manager, Chris Mower. Mower was team manager and race engineer at Nordic Racing when Wilson won the 2001 FIA F3000 championship. Nordic and Wilson set a series record for points earned and podium finishes (10). ...
