GOP to shun Dunlap.(Afternoon)

The Sandoval County Republican Party wants to divorce itself from County Clerk Victoria Dunlap.

The Republican clerk garnered national attention when she issued marriage licenses for 66 same-sex couples Feb. 20. And she has continued efforts to try to issue more.

"We just don't want anything to do with her anymore," said Richard Gibbs, county GOP chairman. "We've had a bellyful."

Gibbs said the county party will meet this weekend to censure Dunlap.

A censure serves as a rebuke to a public official. There is no legal force behind the motion.
