H&R Block's office traffic dips
The tax preparer said the number of customers at its retail offices fell 2.4% through March 15, and that it now expects the decline to continue through the rest of the year. However, customers using H&R Block's computer-based tax services rose 15.2%, leading to an overall 0.4% gain in clients. Fax prep and related fees climbed 5.6% to $1.6 bil. But it sees April '04 profit of $3.65-$3.85, below analyst estimates. Shares fell 4% to 49.07.

Sony sues Kodak over cameras
In the latest tussle over the digital camera market, the Japanese electronic giant filed a patent suit against Eastman Kodak in the U.S., claiming the camera and film company infringed on 10 of its patents related to digital cameras. Earlier this year Kodak sued Sony, also alleging patent infringement. Sony has about 20% of the global market for digital cameras. Kodak has under 10%.
