American Greetings misses views
The No. 1 publicly traded greeting card firm made 62 cents a share in Q4, a 2 cent rise over the year-ago quarter, but 3 cents below views, on a 1.7% sales increase to $535 mil. The firm said weak demand through the Dec. holidays hurt sales. American Greetings shares fell 1% to 22.77.

Dan River filed Chapter 11, joining other U.S. textile makers like Cone Mills, Burlington Industries, Malden Mills and WestPoint Stevens. It expects to emerge from bankruptcy protection by the end of this year.
