Big Board stocks edged lower following Wednesday's seesaw session. The Dow and S&P 500 each shed 0.2% on slightly higher trade, while the small-cap S&P 600 lost 0.5%.

Molina Healthcare gapped down 1.70 to 28.30 on its second heaviest volume since its July 2 debut. The stock sank below its 50-day moving average for the first time in over a month. The managed care firm priced a 2.5 million follow-on offering at $28 a share. The offering was reportedly downsized from an expected 4 million shares.

Tidewater slid 1.50 to 28.09 on triple normal turnover, closing below its 200-day trend line for the first time since early December. The …
