   Mount Saddleback looks down 
   on concrete silos--sentinels to the town.

   whose construction workers left a legacy 
   of the war's most famous beer quota. 
 
   The footy ground is dry as a chip, waiting 
   for winter matches when mud-caked cars 
   crowd round the oval--toot Eddie Moylan's mark. 
 
   The War Memorial comes alive on Anzac Day 
   when wreaths are laid and the Last Post sounded. 
   Four district sons paid the supreme sacrifice 
   in WWII, including two of the Crimmins brothers.

   made history with the town's first wireless, and the crowd …
