America has a real contender in the performance luxury sedan market with the Chrysler 300C. Time will tell how its power and refinement compare to the standards set by BMW, Mercedes and Lexus.

Luxury and performance can now be used together to describe American luxury sedans like the Chrysler 300C and Cadillac CTS. Detroit should have built cars like this 10 years ago instead of SUVs.

John Read, Newport Beach, Calif.

Robert Hinson, Gulfport, Miss.
