"I am sure of my own memory."
So said Mrs. Chen Shui-bian yesterday in response to Democratic Progressive Party lawmaker Shen Fu-hsiung's claim of amnesia for her about his visit to her home, where money was alleged to have changed hands 10 years ago.
Shen told a press conference in the morning the first lady was most likely to have forgotten his visit with Chen Yu-hao, ex-Tuntex board chairman who now stays as a fugitive in Los Angeles, California.
The lawmaker, alleged to have worked as a bribe "broker," also said he himself might have paid the visit but has forgotten.
Mrs. Chen has never admitted she received the lawmaker and the former business tycoon at her home on Minsheng East Road in 1904.
