Given the current publicity surrounding the singles chart, it certainly seems longer than two months ago when the Darkness and Michael Andrews/Gary Jules singles were selling more than 200,000 singles a week and receiving an enormous amount of publicity.
It is something that would not have been likely in many other countries or if the singles chart had been based on either airplay of downloads.
