The regulatory review process begins Sept. 24 in Harrisburg on a medical cost containment provision in Act 6 -- the state's auto insurance law -- and the insurance industry and health care providers will be ready to square off in front of regulators and legislators.
The Pennsylvania State House Insurance Committee on Tuesday will review the regulation that limits payments to health care providers for treatment of auto accident victims. It will be the first step the provision must take through a tangle of regulatory red tape in a journey toward final approval.
