REPORTS relating to the unhealthy impact of junk food on children could provide the farming industry with a perfect opportunity to get `back to basics' by educating consumers of the benefits of eating fresh, natural produce, according to Women's Farming Union president Gillian van der Meer.
One report submitted to the Government and the Food Standards Agency this week lists 106 organisations which already support the national campaign, co-ordinated by Sustain: The alliance for better food and farming, to protect children from unhealthy food promotions.
