On January 14 in Shreveport, Louisiana, a man walked into a gas station shortly before noon and removed some sodas from a cooler. After walking to the counter, supposedly to check out, he pulled a gun on store co-owner Elvir Cehajic and demanded money from the cash register. Cehajic complied, then grabbed a gun of his own and fired two shots at the thug.
The robber ran from the store and jumped into a waiting car driven by an accomplice. The two fled, but minutes later police received a report that someone in a house a few blocks from the crime scene had been shot. When officers arrived, they found the robber, Brandon Young, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. They also recovered the gas station's stolen money.
