Rapier has promoted the former Circus founder, David Prideaux, to the post of creative director to strengthen the agency's offering following recent wins from the AA and DaimlerChrysler.
The appointment comes two years after Prideaux, a copywriter, joined Rapier as the deputy creative director in 2001. His new role gives him day-to-day responsibility for the agency's creative output, but he will continue to report to John Townshend, the executive creative director.
Townshend will take on a more overarching creative role, working closely with the chief executive, Jonathan Stead, on Rapier's strategy and with clients, as well as overseeing the agency's creative standards.
