Survey shows bigger hips, waists
The SizeUSA survey, which measured 10,000 Americans to determine average sizes, found that people are getting rounder in the waist and hips. The average woman is now considered a size 14, up from a size 8, and the average man is now bigger than the former average size, 40 regular. SizeUSA updates the results from the last survey of American measurements, done in 1941.
