Lobos senior Ryan Ashcraft is not expected to play again this season for the University of New Mexico men's basketball team, coach Ritchie McKay said.

Ashcraft, who has missed the past six Lobos game because of a shoulder injury, said an MRI examination revealed a ruptured disk in his back.

McKay said if he had known about Ashcraft's back injury, the La Cueva High product probably would have seen even fewer minutes this season.
