Airlines urged to weigh travelers
A probe into the crash of a US Airways flight last year that killed all 21 people aboard has prompted the National Transportation Safety Board to recommend airlines periodically weigh passengers and bags rather than just use estimates. An inaccurate read of the plane's rear section and a mechanical problem with the plane's nose caused the crash, the panel said. An FAA survey has found passengers and bags have grown heavier in recent years.
