Halliburton adds oversight group
The conglomerate, accused of overcharging the U.S. govt. for food and fuel in Iraq, said it's forming a group to oversee the accounting on its Iraq contracts. Halliburton was responding to reports that said its KBR engineering and construction unit had deficient cost-control systems. Shares rose 1% to 31.96.
** United Technologies chairman George David took home $32 mil in cash after exercising options worth $66.2 mil. He also added 161,000 shares worth $14.5 mil. The firm said David exercised options that were about to expire. Shares were up 3% to 92.11.
