TV Answer plans pact with Hughes

TV Answer Inc. signed a $13.1 million contract to buy satellite equipment from Hughes Network Systems of Gaithersburg.

Hughes Network would provide part of the communication relay system that allows TV viewers to send satellite signals back to a central headquarters to order pizza, compete on game shows and bank from their living rooms. The contract could ultimately be worth $130 million to build 10,000 very small aperature terminal sites, said a TV Answer spokesman. …
