Formtek bolts direct-sales arena to focus on systems integration

Formtek Inc. apparently doesn't see much future in direct sales. At least that is largely the message being conveyed via a major restructuring at the Greentree-based company.

The move, which came about rather suddenly last week, resulted in the slashing of the company's direct sales staff worldwide and the beefing up of its support for third-party sales arrangements with computer giants such as IBM and Prime Computer.
